August Wrap-Up: Reviews, Reading Challenges, etc.

I’m just going to go ahead and apologize to everyone for my shitty reading habits this summer. I’ve been struggling with being able to focus long enough to actually make progress with what I’m reading. It’s taking me far too long to finish a book and I want to bang my head against the wall. Seriously… this is annoying. With that being said, I do have a lot of faith in things turning around for me during September because fall is my favorite and I find myself wanting to cuddle up with a book more often. I just know that once I finish my current read, I’ll find a book that will just completely suck me in. Did anyone else struggle with reading this summer, or was it just me?

Did you get a lot of reading done in August? Were you able to read all of the books on your TBR? Did you read any new favorites? What book did you like the least? What do you plan on reading in September?

  1. Oh my god, no I got barely any reading done this August! I did really good in July, but August sucked! I really don’t know why I’m in this reading slump, and I know I’m still in it so… I need help ASAP lol. But you have to give yourself props though, Priory of the Orange Tree is ridiculously long!

    1. Okay, I’m glad that this didn’t only affect me! I don’t know what was going on but I just could not make myself sit down for longer than 30 mins to read. Maybe I just wasn’t enjoying the books enough or something? Who knows.. I hope you get out of your slump soon! I think watching trashy reality tv helped me out! 😂

  2. I feel like I know so many people who were in a reading slump last month. I don’t think I read much more than 3 books myself. But I mostly enjoyed what i did read in August.

  3. August was a slow reading month for me too! I’ve managed to read only five books but I usually read more than ten books per month. I loved Aurora Rising! I haven’t read Priory Of The Orange but it’s on my TBR list!
Let’s hope September is a better reading month for both of us! 🙂

    1. It seems like August was a slow reading month for a lot of people! But hopefully with fall on the way, we will all get back in the rhythm of things again.. I really enjoyed Aurora Rising too! It was a lot of fun and I’m excited for the next book!
