I didn’t get to all of the books I wanted to read in March, so there will be a bit of an overflow into this month’s TBR. But I think that’s alright, because I really want to get to these books soon rather than continue to push them aside until later. So yes, my TBR this month is once again a bit ambitious but I’m alright with it. Let’s kick some reading ass in April!
My TBR
- Rabbit & RobotΒ by Andrew Smith – physical ARC
- Jade City (The Green Bone Saga, #1)Β by Fonda Lee – physical book
- Kingdom of the Blazing Phoenix (Rise of the Empress, #2)Β by Julie C. Dao – audiobook, currently listening
- The Mirk and Midnight HourΒ by Jane Nickerson – physical book
- The Game of Love and DeathΒ by Martha Brockenbrough – physical book
- Navigating the Stars (Sentinels of the Galaxy, #1)Β by Maria V. Snyder – audiobook
- And I Darken (The Conqueror’s Saga, #1)Β by Kiersten White – physical book, currently buddy reading
- Tithe (Modern Faerie Tales, #1)Β by Holly Black – physical book
- Lifel1k3 (Lifelike, #1)Β by Jay Kristoff
- The English WifeΒ by Lauren Willig – physical book, currently reading
- Scythe (Arc of a Scythe, #1)Β by Neal Shusterman – physical book, buddy read
- The Lying WoodsΒ by Ashley Elston – audiobook
This may look like a really extensive TBR, but with 3 of these being audiobooks which I can speed through pretty quickly, I’m not too worried about it. I think I have a really good mix of genres as well this month which will help me from getting too bored as well. I think I was actually starting to get burned out on fantasy last month, so this mix should help fix that problem somewhat.
What do you plan to read during April? Do you have a set TBR or are you a mood reader? Have you read any of the books on my list? If so, what did you think about them?
I’m normally a mood reader but I have a set TBR for the O.W.Ls readathon.
I have Jade City on my radar. I’m looking forward to any thoughts you have on it. You have a great variety on your TBR. I mix my genres up so I don’t get into reading slump. Happy reading!

Yeah, I’m usually a mood read as well but I’ve been trying to stick to a TBR lately so I can focus on getting through some of my backlisted books. It’s harder than I thought it would be. Haha!
And I’ll definitely be posting a review of Jade City. It’s probably the book I’m most looking forward to this month!

So many good books on here! I haven’t done a monthly list for April, I’m trying a Spring list to see if I get on better!!

Tithe was one of the very first YA books I ever read! Of course it was a solid decade ago (probably a little longer than that, actually) so I don’t remember anything about it but I do remember loving it!

Yeah, I know it came out a long time ago. I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed it! It’ll be interesting to see the differences between this trilogy and her newest series.

It’s so fun to read an author’s older stuff and compare it to their newer works. π

I hope you enjoy Scythe! I thought the worldbuilding and concept was so unique. π The Game of Love and Death has also been on my shelves for a few years, I really need to get around to that one!
