For the past couple of years I have participated in the annual POPSUGAR reading challenge… and with abysmal results. However, it’s a new year (unfortunately, same me) and I’m really going to try and actually complete it this year. It’s always a long shot for me as some of the prompts don’t really excite me for one reason or another (like I really don’t appreciate poetry.. oops?). But I’m going to do my best to finish this really intense reading challenge this year. It’s going to be a uphill battle, but I’m willing to make the trek! And for me, the best way to do so is to plan ahead with a TBR. I’ve actually come up with a couple of options for some of the prompts to help with my indecisive reading habits.
If you would like to learn more about this reading challenge, please visit the official Goodreads reading group. They have tons of participants and also discussions on books that would work for each prompt. It’s quite possibly the best group on Goodreads that I’ve ever come across. NO LIE.

Your Favorite Prompt From A Past POPSUGAR Reading Challenge
Are you participating in the POPSUGAR reading challenge this year? If so, have you figured out your TBR already? Have you read any of the books on my list? If so, what did you think about them?
I love this list!
I’m looking foward to reading Wayward Son, Scythe, and The Wicked Deep this year, and I hope you enjoy The Knife of Never Letting Go! (I recommend listening to the audiobook if you like audiobooks)

Oh, thank you for the recommendation! I really enjoy audiobooks, especially while I’m at work.

You gave me some ideas of books to read for prompts that I wasn’t sure about.

I absolutely suck at reading challenges, but this one does look like a fun challenge.

Yeah, I’m not very good at them either but I enjoy how random the POPSUGAR challenge always is and it helps to get me out of my comfort zone some.

I’m kind of doing this too but like last year it’s probably gonna be a case of reading whatever the heck I want then trying to squeeze them into the prompts. There’s quite a few books on your list that I will almost certainly be reading (King of Scars!!!!)
I do have to disagree on the Popsugar Goodreads group being the best, I love NBRC (Nothing But Reading Challenges). They run loads of team challenges and also have a great NetGalley addict support group thread. I mean it supposed to be a NetGalley challenge thread but I think we make each other worse.

Yeah, that’s what I typically do too but I’m reallyyyyy going to try this year lol. Most of the books were already on my TBR so I didn’t have to venture too far to fill the prompts… Yeah, I’m a member of NBRC too but there’s just so much going on there that it tends to be overwhelming for me personally. I can’t focus, haha.

I can totally get that. I usually just hang around the NetGalley discussion and whatever team challenge I’ve foolishly signed myself up for.
