WWW Wednesday – August 9th, 2017

Welcome to WWW Wednesday which is currently being hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. It’s really just a place to do little update on what all you’ve been reading lately. Anyone is welcome to join, just leave a link to your post in the comments and be sure to give the appropriate credit to Sam!

The Three W’s are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

  • Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1) by Leigh Bardugo
  • Parker by Jillian Quinn

I’ll be honest and admit that I haven’t picked up Parker in a couple of weeks. It’s unfortunately it’s been pushed to the wayside, but I hope to pick it back up in the next few days. I’m finally over halfway through Six of Crows and really getting into it now. It did take a while to get into and so I was a little afraid that the hype might have been too much for me. Luckily, things are starting to get interesting so there’s still hope!

What did you recently finish reading?

I haven’t finished any books in the last week because I was taking a bit of a reading break/slump. But I think I’m finally coming out of it. WOOHOO!

What do you think you’ll read next?

  • Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2) by Leigh Bardugo
  • Lost Stars by Claudia Gray

Hopefully by Friday I’ll be able to finally start on my Tome Topple Readathon TBR. I’ve heard great things about both books so I cannot wait to get to them!

What books are you currently reading? Have you finished any good books this past week? What’s up next on your TBR?

  1. I really want to try and read Six of Crows sometime soon. I hear such great things about it and I’m really interested to see for myself. I’ll look forward to seeing what you think of Lost Stars. I’ve never read any of the Star Wars novels, but I’ve been thinking about picking one up. And I’ve liked Claudia Gray’s writing in the past, so that might be a good one for me to start with.

    1. Yeah, I think the hype put me off of it for the longest time but I finally just decided to pick it up and read it lol.. Oh, I love Star Wars books! But if you like Claudia Gray then Lost Stars would be a good start. She also wrote another one about Leia, called Bloodline.

      1. I’ll have to see if my library has any of the Star Wars books. I honestly have no idea why I haven’t read any before because I love SW, haha.

  2. Ever since reading Claudia’s Defy the STars, I’ve been eyeing the Star Wars books more often so I am going to give them a go some time soon. Ahhhhh! I’m patiently waiting to see what you think of Six of Crows *excited emoji* lol, happy Tome Topple!

    1. Ahhh, pick them up! She’s written multiple Star Wars books so far, Lost Stars and Bloodline. I’ve heard tons of people say that those are actually their favorite Star Wars books! I’m hoping to finish Six of Crows tonight or tomorrow, but so far so good!
