What are you currently reading?
Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2) by Sarah J. Maas
While I enjoyed the first novel, I wasn’t as enthralled with it as I know most people are. However, I have heard that this series does get better with each book. I’m sure that’s probably true, but if I don’t start actually seeing evidence of Celaena being the badass assassin that she supposedly is, I’m going to get a little annoyed. Fingers crossed!
What did you recently finish reading?
Half Lost (The Half Bad Trilogy, #3) by Sally Green
I literally finished this less than an hour ago and I am still not okay with that ending. I mean, talk about breaking your heart into a million pieces! So beautiful and yet so crushing all at the same time. This book was a great ending to a fun trilogy and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves stories about witches or enjoys a really screwed up protagonist, double bonus if you like both!!
What do you think you’ll read next?
Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3) by Sarah J. Maas or Paper and Fire (The Great Library, #2) by Rachel Caine
This all depends on if I need a break from Celaena before diving back into the ToG series, or not. Either way, I will definitely be getting to one of these two books upon completion of Crown of Midnight. It’s like I’m playing a guessing game but with myself! I can’t wait to see what I decide! 🙂

I’ve finally got a copy of Ink and Bone from the library so will start catching up with The Great Library series soon! Yay!

I’m sure you’ll be fine with Crown of Midnight as it’s the book where Celaena does definitely go “bad ass assassin”. My favorite book in the series so far.

Perfect! I’m over 100 pages into it right now and so far it’s been really fun!

You have been killing the series lately! Good for you! I’ve found that it’s much harder to read series when I’m blogging because I’m always looking for something new (even though I do love series haha) I need to go back and finish all the series I started.

Haha thank you! I used to be so good about starting a series and immediately finishing but this year I haven’t been that. I’m just glad to finally get these books finished! I have bought wayyyy too many recently that I want to get to do it does make it hard to see them sitting on my shelf while I’m trying to finish a series haha. 😂

I have to wait for the 4th book to really get into the Throne of Glass series! I am currently really enjoying Queen of Shadows, I even stopped complaining about Celaena, haha!

Ooh, I’m glad you liked the Half Bad series. I have that on my kindle to read by the end of the year. It sounds so good!

I hope you enjoy it! There were a few issues that I had with it but overall it was a really great read. I enjoyed the different spin on the whole “witch” idea.

I wasn’t convinced by Throne Of Glass either, but loved book two and three. I hope Crown Of Midnight will get better for you soon. 🙂

So far it’s been a fun read! I just wanted to see more evidence of Celaena being such an amazing assassin.
