The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3) by Mary E. Pearson
“Please,” I said. “My brothers-“
“Just the way I prefer you, Princess, begging and with both of your hands restrained.” His face still bore the lines of my attach, and his eyes glowed with vengeance.
This book has definitely kept my interest since I started it late last night. I’m almost 200 pages into it and things are really starting to amp up. I’m really enjoying how independent Lia is becoming and the development her character has gone through. However, I’m none too happy with Rafe right now. Pearson is trying to turn him into a know-it-all butthead and I don’t really appreciate that. That just happens to be one of my pet peeves with authors – turning our favorite characters into jerks. So mean!
