Musing Mondays is a weekly theme hosted by the lovely MizB @ Books and a Beat, that asks you to answer one of the prompt questions and that week’s random question.
PROMPTS:
- I’m currently reading…
- Up next I think I’ll read…
- I bought the following book(s) this past week…
- I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…
- I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…
- I can’t wait to get a copy of…
- I wish I could read ___, but…
- I blogged about ____ this past week…
THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: Make a plea for your favorite book.
I’M REALLY UPSET BY (BOOK/AUTHOR/BOOKISH-NEWS)…
This is pretty annoying but understandable – NetGalley notified me over the weekend that I got denied by request to review With Malice and The May Queen Murders because both publishers hit their quota for ARCs. How sucky is that?! I mean, I know I was a little late to the game for both of them but I was really interested in getting them, especially The May Queen Murders. Now I’ll have to wait and actually buy them. Dammit.
Lucky for me that NetGalley has a massive library so I’ll just have to do some more browsing. Oh, and I did get accepted for The Other Side of Gravity and Practical Applications for Multiverse Theory, so I guess in the end it evens out.
MAKE A PLEA FOR YOUR FAVORITE BOOK…
I’m not going to bore you with a plea to read Anne of Green Gables. You know how much I love it because I talk about it every single post pretty much, haha! Just know that it’s full of family love, a day dreaming young girl who wants to become a write and gets into all sorts of messes, an amazing friendship, turn of the century life, and the great literary boyfriend of all time. How can you say no?
As always, leave a link to your own Musing Mondays post or just answer the prompts in the comments! I would love to hear from you!
I’ve just spent a good half hour browsing around on NetGalley and requested about a dozen books. I will now be checking my emails every 5 mins to see if any of my requests have been approved and may cry if I get knocked back 🙂

I know, right?! NetGalley is like an addiction and I cannot get enough of it! I just requested a few more today too.
