The Pixar Book Tag

So, I’ll probably be spending the next couple of days catching up on all of the tags that I’ve forgotten about. Sorry in advance if that annoys you but I think they’re fun and you get to learn a little bit about me in the process. And I am such a cool person to get to know. Or just interesting. Or strange. Or whatever. You’ll just have to deal with it, I guess.

Thank you Dreaming Through Literature for this really fun tag. I mean, who doesn’t love Pixar films? They’re hilarious, heartfelt, and just plain adorable. But seriously, The Incredibles is the best one outta all of them. DON’T ARGUE WITH ME ABOUT THAT! 😉

Toy Story: A book where you wanted the characters to come to life.

Hmmm, I like for all of my books to be real. Like if we had tons of alternate universes and you could just move from one to the other. Lord of the Rings Land, Harry Potter World, Shadowhunterville, Star Wars Galaxy… Yeah, that would be so damn cool.

A Bug’s Life: Big Beautiful Butterfly – Name a character that goes through a wonderful transformation or development.

tumblr_n3z8yhx2U51spujdno1_500.gif

I think I’m gonna go with Ron Weasley from Harry Potter or Alyssa Gardner from the Splintered Trilogy. Ron grew into such a brave and loyal friend and finally got over his insecurities by the end and I just really enjoyed watching him grow up. And Alyssa grew from hating her Wonderland-half to fully accepting her faeself (and Morpheus, hehe!).

Monsters INC: Name a book where a strong or scary character develops a soft side for someone else.

Dougal from Outlander. Now, I wouldn’t say he’s a totally nice guy but he definitely had a soft spot for wee Claire. He wanted some of that, for sure.

Finding Nemo: P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney – Name a book that has an address or another quote within that’s been burned into your memory forever.

Number 4, Privet Drive, Little Whinging from Harry Potter. Such an easy answer.

The Incredibles: Name the coolest book family.

tumblr_nmk7s7XlTz1rf73xqo1_500.gif

The Weasleys. Hands down.

Cars: 1, 2, and (now) 3 – Name a book that keeps getting sequels that you feel are not needed.

I don’t really have an answer for this one. I mean I guess most people would say all of the Shadowhunter spin-offs but that doesn’t bother me really.

Ratatouille: Name a book whose main character is not human nor a humanoid figure.

Hank the Cowdog. Y’all I think I read every one of those books when I was 10 years old. They were fast and easy and boosted my AR points haha!

Wall-E: Name a book that made you lonely.

tumblr_n1goyyhWLe1s1va72o1_500.gif

Salt to the Sea. I know it’s supposed to be a happy ending but every time I read a WWII or Holocaust novel, I just feel totally deprived of all happiness because that is such a tragic time in history and knowing that normal human beings let it happen in the first place.

Up: Name a book whose characters you became very quickly emotionally invested in.

tumblr_n0o63eV5DI1trav8xo1_500.gif

Anne of Green Gables. I WANT TO LIVE IN AVONLEA!

Brave: Name a book with a strong mother/daughter relationship.

tumblr_myu2d1pObm1sfs7lqo1_r1_400.gif

Divergent. I really enjoyed the relationship between Tris and her mother. They had just enough secrets to make it really interesting too.

Inside Out: Name a book that you would say could be one of your core memories.

Anne of Green Gables or Harry Potter. I know I use these answers a lot but that’s how much I love them. Don’t judge!!!

  1. AW YEAH! I love Pixar movies!!! Toy Story is my favorite. I actually named the car I had when I was a teenager Buzz and had a Buzz action figure duck taped to my dashboard hahaha. I need to buy Anne of Green Gables like yesterday. I gotta hunt one down.

    1. Oh man, Toy Story is a good one but for some reason I always feel super sad at the end when I watch those haha! Okay, I wish I had seen a picture of Buzz taped to your dashboard hahahaha! My fave is definitely The Incredibles though. So hilarious! And yes, get Anne of Green Gables immediately and fall in love with Gilbert Blythe. Just remember he’s mine though! 😉

  2. I always think I’ll annoy people if I do consecutive tags *sigh* but I really don’t mind when other bloggers do so, I actually really enjoy them ! This one is great and completely agree with the second one, it would be AMAZING !
By the way, I nominated you for the Versatile blogger award here : https://wordwoonders.wordpress.com/2016/03/28/award-3-the-versatile-blogger-award/ I’m sorry if you’ve done it and I tagged you again haha

    1. I’m the same way! But I actually think people don’t care how many tags I do, I’m just being paranoid about it haha… Thank you for the nomination. I have already done it but it’s still nice that you tagged me for it! 🙂

  3. What an awesome tag! I agree with you on The Incredibles being the best Pixar movie. I’m excited by wary about the upcoming sequel. Alyssa Gardner goes along with the transforming into a butterfly sort of thing. The main problem I have with all the Shadowhunter spin-offs is it costs so much money to buy them all, so much time to read them, and I really want to see what else Clare can write besides Shadowhunters. That Brave gif reminds me of the very beginning of Divergent lol.

    1. Haha quite literally, doesn’t she?! And I definitely agree, there’s soooo many of them! Plus, they just keep rereleasing them with new covers and stuff. Like, why?! And oh my gosh, I didn’t even notice that but you’re so right haha!

      1. I spent months searching for the last mortal instruments book in the original cover, since they decided it was a good idea to make the new covers and stop producing the old ones exactly when I finished the second to last book (ready to buy the next one). And then I finally found what LOOKED like the original cover (though I knew something was off about it) and it ended up being the UK version, so it’s shorter and the material and some of the font is different on the front and spine. I’ve been having this same problem with the Percy Jackson series *sigh*

  4. I tried Amazon for the mortal instruments one but couldn’t find anything at a decent price (same with ebay) but now I own them all so I don’t worry about it, and the UK version isn’t too far off so hopefully it won’t bother me… And I was able to find the Percy Jackson ones on Ebay thankfully
