Totally Should’ve Book Tag

Thank you Joey @ Another Afterthought for tagging me to do this one!

Totally Should’ve Gotten A Sequel…

Hmmm, I guess I’ll go with The Thinking Woman’s Guide to Real Magic by Emily Croy Barker. There was a recent update where Barker stated that she’s working on the revision of a sequel but there was no publication date at this time. So I guess I’ll just have to continue waiting and I ain’t happy about it.

Totally Should’ve Had A Spin-Off Series…

I’m going to go with the obvious choice and choose The Marauder’s from Harry Potter. Come on, J.K., you know what we want and we want it now!

Totally Should’ve Ended Differently…

I agree with Joey on this one and say Ruin and Rising (The Grisha Trilogy #3) by Leigh Bardugo. It was a fantastic book but y’all know my feelings about certain someones from it and so you should understand why I feel this way.

Totally Should’ve Had A Film Franchise…

HA! Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown. This one was way too easy to answer. And lucky for me and all of my fellow Howlers, the movie is in the works with Brown writing the screenplay. I believe he stated in his recent Reddit AMA that all they are waiting for is the green light from the production company. Everyone go and spam Universal Pictures with demands for this movie to get the go ahead!!! Just kidding. Kind of. Not really.

Totally Should’ve Had A T.V. Show…

Well I would’ve said The Mortal Instruments but that’s not the case anymore and look where that’s gotten us. That show is awful and I couldn’t even make it through 2 episodes. Luckily, Outlander has been turned into a phenomenal show so I can pretend that Shadowhunters doesn’t exist.

Oh, wait! I’ve got one! I think The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness would make a good tv show on a network like Showtime or HBO. That second book especially could turn into a fantastic season!

Totally Should’ve Had One Point of View…

I actually just read A Stolen Kiss (Stolen Royals #1) by Kelsey Keating and we definitely did not need to see the story from Maria’s POV. She is boring and pretty worthless. Derric is the only one who matters anyways.

Totally Should’ve Had A Cover Change…

Oh Jesus, where do I even begin?! The Selection series, The Siren, The Winner’s Curse… Okay, I guess the moral of this story is – Larkin hates all covers of girls in dresses. Seriously people, just stop. It’s cheesy and it will literally turn me away from picking up your book. Do you want to know what a good cover looks like?

Call me if you need consultation, I don’t mind hurting feelings to tell you the truth. You’ll thank me for it later, I promise.

Totally Should’ve Stopped Reading…

The Hunger Games. Why did I even bother with 3 books for it to end that way? A waste, I tell you! A total waste.

Totally Should’ve Kept The Covers…

Is it is bad of me that I don’t understand what this one is asking? Because I definitely don’t.

Totally Shouldn’t Have Pre-Judged…

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas for sure. I haven’t read any of her other novels but this kept getting recommended to me but it just didn’t sound like anything extraordinary. Well, I was sooooo wrong. This book is awesome and I love it! I am being very impatient waiting for A Court of Mist and Fury to arrive! May needs to hurry its butt up and get here already.
