The Versatile Blogger Award Nomination

Thank you so much to Beth @ The Books Are Everywhere for nominating me for this! I know I mentioned this earlier on my giveaway post, but it really means a lot to me that so many people appreciate and enjoy reading my blog. I know most of us only started blogging to have a place to discuss the things we love and to have others support and react to that is nothing short of wonderful. I only started this blog at the end of January and to see how far its come gives me warm fuzzies inside! Thank you to all for making this a great experience for me!

I am obsessed with Star Wars.

Seriously, more than a normal 25 year old girl should be. I watched the marathon of all 7 movies that day that The Force Awakens was released. We were in the cinema from 3:30am to 9:30pm – yeah, A LONG TIME.

I’ve visited 14 countries.

I totally suffer from wanderlust. My favorite so far is definitely Ireland. It’s gorgeous and the people are so friendly. I’ve been there twice because me and my mom are so obsessed with it. I plan to visit a whole lot more countries so if you don’t mind having a couch surfer then please let me know!

I was on my high school drill team.

For those of you who aren’t from the Southern US, it’s a dance team. We perform during halftime at football games and compete at dance competitions. Picture short skirts, red lipstick, white boots, and high kicks.

I lived in Prague for a year.

I was teaching English there to children and adults. Yeah, this is a real picture I took of it from my favorite spot in the city, Reigrovy Sady. It’s park that looks out over Old Town with a beer garden that you can purchase a pint of beer for about a $1. Seriously, it’s that cheap!

I’m double jointed in my knees, hips, elbows, and ankles.

I can even pop my hips in and out of joint. I’m a strange bird.

I absolutely love storms.

We are actually in the middle of one right now and I’m loving it. It’s supposed to thunderstorm for the next 3 days here and I couldn’t be more excited. Great reading weather!

I have never broken a bone in my body.

However, when I was 10 I did jump on my brother’s leg and break it. It wasn’t my fault though! We were at the lake and jumping off the top of a barge when it happened. He was under the water and instead of moving out of the way, he just stayed where he was so when I checked before I dove in, no one was there. Except he was. Under water where no one could see him. It’s his own fault. Yet, he’s 22 years old now and still blames it on me.

  1. We have a lot in common! I too am a dancer, love Star Wars (and books and blogging of course!!), and have never broken a bone. I’ve certainly not made it to 14 countries though I want to! Fun post! Thanks for the tag! 🙂

  2. Eek, I’m one of those people who just completely missed the Star Wars bandwagon (much to my boyfriend’s disappointment since he, like you, is ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED). I haven’t seen The Force Awakens though, people have said it’ll change my mind and I hope so. 😛

I suffer from a bit of wanderlust too but am kind of rooted to one place at the moment, although I would LOVE to one day live in Prague and visit Ireland. What’s your next destination?

Thanks for the tag! I really should do one of these facts-about-me ones soon. ❤

    1. There is still plenty of time jump on the Star Wars bandwagon! We are always accepting new members. 😉
I’m actually a weird one, as I’ve been outside of the US a whole lot but don’t really travel within it. So for me, I really wanna go to Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida next. For my next international trip, I’m hoping for Scotland or Italy. It amazes me that I lived in Prague for a year and never made it to Venice. I could kick myself for that. But I did make it to Santorini, Greece so I guess they even out haha.
Can’t wait to see your post! 🙂

      1. Ahhh, Santorini would have been amazing. I lived in the UK for a semester too but only made it to Belgium and the Netherlands, which is NOWHERE NEAR what I should have been doing!

    1. Oh really?! That’s awesome! I miss it a whole lot and especially with summer around the corner, I am totally wishing I was there to spend the day at the beer garden. I feel like an alcoholic because I keep mentioning it haha! But thank you so much!

      1. It really was!! I’d love to check it out in summer 😀 haha no worries!! I felt like less of an alcoholic in Prague, just seeing the sheer quantities czech people drink. I mean, I always think I drink quite a bit- but it was nothing compared to Czech people! You’re welcome!

    1. Yes, I absolutely loved it. I love dancing and being able to do it every day at school was wonderful!
Yeah, I’m really blessed in my life that I’ve gotten the opportunities to travel as much as I have! Living in Prague especially helped to ease my wanderlust. I visited 7 countries while I was there.
