The Coffee Book Tag

I was tagged by Jesse @ Books at Dawn to do The Coffee Book Tag. Everyone go check out his really awesome blog and show him some love!

*Disclaimer: I don’t drink coffee but I do love me a nice big pot of tea, preferably Irish Breakfast. It always takes me back to my favorite place in the world, beautiful Ireland! 🙂

Let’s get started!

Black: A series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans…

the-selection-series

I read the first 3 and it was a struggle to make myself finish them. They were alright but I definitely don’t get the hype.

Peppermint Mocha: A book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year…

Harry-Potter-books

I’m going to agree with Jesse here with this one. I always associate Harry Potter with Christmastime. Is that weird?

Hot Chocolate: A favorite children’s book…

dr-seuss-books-collections

Seriously, if you don’t love Dr. Seuss then we can’t be friends. Those books are amazing.

Double Shot of Espresso: A book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish…

I just finished this one last night, and wow, what a book. I MUST HAVE GEMINA RIGHT NOW!

Starbucks: A book you see everywhere…

I finally bought the first book recently but it’s sitting on my TBR shelf until I can sit down and just binge read the entire series. But damn, do you see this book everywhere. I hope the hype is worth it.

That Hipster Coffee Shop: A book by an indie author…

This book came in my February Best Damn Book Box. It’s by an indie author whom I know nothing about. I’m excited to read it because it sounds pretty twisted and I love a good fairy tale retelling!

Oops! I Accidentally Got Decaf: A book you were expecting more from…

14201

Yeah, it was boring. I had been hoping for so much from this book and it just didn’t meet my expectations.

The Perfect Blend: A book or series that was both bitter and sweet, but ultimately satisfying…

That ending was so bittersweet but also so perfect. Oh man, I just really love this book so much.

Green Tea: A book or series that is quietly beautiful…

love-that-split-the-world

Yeah, I know I just posted my review raving about how wonderful this book was so maybe it doesn’t count as being quietly beautiful. But whatever, it is.

Chai Tea: A book or series that makes you dream of far off places…

Red-Rising-Trilogy-by-Pierce-Brown

Because space is awesome. Duh.

Earl Grey: A favorite classic…

I will never not love this book. It is amazing and wonderful and perfect. If you haven’t yet read it, please please do!

    1. I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I read Cass’s new book, The Siren, and felt the same way. It was better than The Selection but I just don’t think she’s a very mature writer… Well I’m looking forward to reading it and finding out for myself how it is. I enjoy books with badass heroines. 😊

  1. I’ve heard amazing things about The Love That Split the World. I really want to read it! Same with The Nightingale.

Thanks for the tag, hun! ❤

  2. This post idea is so cute. I’m one of those that was suckered into the Selection, err… well, the first 16% I’ve read so far 😉

You should (assuming you are a unicorn and have the strange concept of spare time) totally make a post like this related to tea instead of coffee!

    1. Haha don’t feel ashamed that you’re enjoying it! It’s a fun easy read, it just didn’t blow my mind like it has for a lot of people. Everyone has different tastes!
Oh, that’s a good idea! I’ll start my own Tea Book Tag. It may take me a bit to think of the questions and stuff but you are definitely on to something and I like it! 😉
