Y’all, I have a sickness. I cannot stop buying books. It doesn’t matter how many I already have piling up, if I get the sudden urge to go to the bookstore, I’m coming back with at least 4 more. It never fails.
In my opinion, collecting books is an essential part to being a bookworm. There is nothing greater than walking into your room and seeing those bookshelves filling up, bit by bit. However, there comes a moment when you realize, I have got a serious problem. For me, it occurred yesterday when I was trying to add the 7 new books that I had just purchased to my designated to-be-read shelf. Guess what? They didn’t fit.
So to rectify this problem, I have decided to put in an end to my book shopping ways until I have finished my current TBR shelf. My goal is to finish the entire shelf (and pile) by the end of April. Here’s hoping, right?
Here is the insane list that I shall be tackling in the next few months…
1. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
2. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
3. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams – All four parts, of course!
4. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
5. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
6. The Poldark Saga by Winston Graham – I’m only reading the first 3 for now. I believe there are actually 9 in the entire series.
7. These Broken Stars (Starbound, #1) by Amie Kaufman
8. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
9. Da Vinci’s Tiger by L.M. Elliott
10. Truthwitch (The Watchbands, #1) by Susan Dennard
11. A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird, #1) by Claudia Gray
12. Worlds of Ink and Shadow by Lena Coakley
13. Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore
14. Middlemarch by George Eliot
15. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
16. Not If I See You First by Eric Lindstrom
17. Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas
18. The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry
20. Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard
21. The Dark Days Club (Lady Helen, #1) by Alison Goodman
22. A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas
23. The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George
24. The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon
25. Star Wars: The Force Awakens by Alan Dean Foster
After going over this list, I have noticed there are quite a few books that have sequels or are part of a series. For those, I think I might get to them last so I can just pick up the rest of the series as soon as I’m done.
What do you guys think? See any books that are on your TBR shelf/pile and want to join in? Please feel free to join me and keep me posted on how you’re doing!
